This week Amazon announced the Kindle 2, the next generation of their revolutionary digital book reading device. Details are limited and we will have more information for you as it comes available. Here is what we know so far. The Kindle 2 is going to release on February 24, 2009. Amazon Kindle 2 is thinner and in most respects much improved over the first version of the device. Ergonomics are so improved that you just look at the device and want to use it. The price tag of $359 might be a bit too high for some people, but the improved size, improved screen, and improved content selection makes the Kindle 2 much like the iPod nano or the first generation iPhone. It’s very much a game changer in the world of digital books. |

Actual Customer Feedback: Coming soon... The device was just announced and so there isn't much in the way of feedback available yet. What we've seen looks positive. The device is such a big improvement over the first generation in terms of design, that I can't help but think that eventual reviews will be quite positive. |

the Kindle’s main selling point for me is it’s text-to-speech feature
